Kate Caro is one of our wonderful volunteers – she regularly helps to drive members to the Sweet Louise support meetings and helps at the meetings and events such as Member Days.
Kate says: “I’ve been involved with Sweet Louise since the very beginning. Louise was a close friend of mine.
“I met Louise at secondary school, and she was a great friend to me and my family. I was one of her bridesmaids and she was godmother to one of my daughters. Louise loved all the good things in life like a party, travelling, clothes, food, and wine. She was a real lover of people and life.
“I think Louise would be delighted to know that woman and men would have had a better quality of life due to the services that Sweet Louise has been able to facilitate.
“Through this volunteer role with Sweet Louise, I enjoy seeing the women connect at meetings and enjoy each other’s company. I get to see them learn new skills, share advice, and forget about their disease for a while.
“I also recently hosted a pink morning tea at work and raised $305 that I donated on the Giving Day.
“I am grateful to be able to give back through Sweet Louise and to be able to support such a worthwhile cause. Sweet Louise is the only charity that I am involved in, it is very dear to my heart.”
