Friends and whānau of Sweet Louise member Cat, held a 2-day fundraiser in her honour after she lost her battle with breast cancer. Their efforts raised an incredible $10,000 for Sweet Louise!
Sian, Cat’s sister-in-law, said:
“Cat gave this battle against breast cancer her everything. She would have done anything to stay to be with her husband, children, friends and family. She is the epitome of grit, strength and a superwoman in our eyes.”
With sponsorship from Fletcher Building, PlaceMakers and Mico, the friends and family held a lunch and auction and a whānau walkathon event they dubbed A Cat Walk to Remember. They had people joining them to walk in Auckland, Queenstown, even Australia!
What a beautiful way to honour Cat’s memory and Sweet Louise is so grateful for this generous support.
